2006 ¡V F3 Inc. today announced the SkyDECT solution, a dual mode of
Skype DECT phone to allow user to make and receive both Skype and
conventional phone calls on the PSTN with ease. The phones will
connect through regular DECT base-stations into the public phone
service with RJ11 port and via a broadband internet link to Skype's
P2P network with USB port.
With Skype user interface built-in developed by F3, it make user move
around his place while seeing the contact list in the screen and check
who is online and talk via Skype, even if not in the same room as
computer. Additionally, it supports convenient features, including
caller ID, call waiting, multi-calling, conference calling and Cheese
Button.
F3 Inc. offers the development kit that provides all of the USB
hardware and software necessary to develop SkyDECT solution with FUP1,
a USB to audio PCM processor for VoIP.
Availability
Samples of SkyDECT and FUP1 chip will be available by end of June. The
production quantities begin available in August 2006.
